Talk to someone you trust if you're unsure. A common scam is being asked to invest in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, but it can also involve fake funds, stocks, products, or commodities. A common tactic is to lure individuals with offers promising very high returns in a very short time.<br \/><br \/>Investment fraud often starts with an advertisement on social media or websites that appear trustworthy, or a fraudster contacting you with an offer that seems very enticing. Investment frauds can go on for a long time, with you, the investor, being tricked into investing more and more. You should always question how reasonable the offer seems. If you're asked to invest as quickly as possible, be especially cautious. The same goes for promises of guaranteed returns.<br \/><br \/><strong>Never invest in things you don't understand, or in offers that seem too good to be true. Always check the company with the Financial Supervisory Authority or call your bank before investing any money. If you have transferred money to a fraudster, always contact your bank; in some cases, they can stop the transaction. Contact may be intensive, often in the form of texts, direct messages and phone conversations.&nbsp; They are likely to promise you the moon and the stars before eventually asking for money or help. Often they ask for very large sums of money. In many cases, the scammers will be using false identities, stolen photos and made-up stories to trick their victims.<\/p><p><strong>Romance scams which rob you of both money and love can leave you with deep scars. Turn to your family and those closest to you for support. Is the product very cheap? Is the seller urging you to buy immediately or to pay in advance? In reality, they abuse your trust to access your property and steal your valuables. Another approach might be to try and lure you in with a prize or a parcel that they claim they have been sent to deliver.
